Google Chrome Hacks Blog Launched Today!

Google Chrome Hacks Blog Launched Today!

Well, I wasn’t going to start a new blog for awhile but since the new Google Chrome browser is out, (and I think it will be very successful) I decided to pounce on this opportunity and start a Google Chrome Hacks Blog.  For the reasons on why I started this blog, you can check out my post here at Zedomax Blog Network.

This is one of those topics I’ve been banging my readers about, finding a niche.  (a new niche that just started)

Google Chrome is probably one of the best “new” niches for blogging.  (Okay, don’t start one now, I will have to kill you then. :op )

I will try to update on the results of such spontaneous blog creation and of course, the monetization of it too.

Where did we get the idea for Google Chrome Hacks Blog?

Well, you should take a looky at iphone-hacks.com and their stats.  (It’s like they simply took a knife and stuck it on a whale before the it leaped)

How to Write a Blog Post and Capture Your Audience!

Writing great blog post that captures your audience probably has everything to do with your success to make money online.

Why?

Great content will always attract humans, search engines, and anyone who is interested in that information.

How do I write a blog post and capture my audience?

Well, there are numerous ways to do it but I can share you my strategy to this.

For me, I focus on satirical, humorous writing that will make the reader laugh.

Why?

The world is full of great information.  Especially the internet, you can go to 10 different blogs for the same information.

To have a competitive edge, you need to differ from your fellow bloggers.

Let me ask you a question.  Would you rather read a boring, monotonous blog post or a funny, interesting blog post?

Of course, most people would favor the latter.

Now, you need to write each blog post with a topic in your mind that is so worth reading and worth the reader’s time.

Let’s take an example.

I write a tech blog over at Zedomax.com.  Now, there’s so many thousand tech blogs out there, and most of the sites cover what everyone else covers.

To differentiate, I only pick the most interesting gadgets, DIYs, and tech news with emphasis on anything that I can make a joke out of.

The big blogs like Engadget and Gizmodo both cover every inch of tech news including which Sony execs had for breakfast.

Basically, I am the human, humorous, interesting comedian-filter for those big blogs while inputting some of my own niche topics.

Again, the world doesn’t need more MBA graduates to write long and boring blog posts that might be very accurate but still very boring.

What the world needs is simply writers who can describe an event in couple sentences with ability to make someone laugh.

Well, this blog post might have been very long and boring, perhaps I am a hypocrite.  Fuc*.

How to Increase Web Search Engine Traffic!

One of the best ways to increase web search engine traffic is to write a blog post about something no other “blog” has written about.

How to go about this?

Well, first you need to research which search terms are currently giving you the most web traffic.

For example, if your blog is about travel and gets 20% of daily traffic from the search term, “best hotels in america”, you need to consider the fact that your one of your blog’s strength is about “best of something in somewhere”.

After finding out what search terms your blog gets most, simply change the wording around to something like, “best inns in south america”.

Then, do a Google search on, “best inns in south america”.  Now, if you see a lot of results that point to blogs, this isn’t a good title for your next blog post.

However, if you see no blog results, this might be a great title for your next blog post as there’s no competition for that search term.

Now, you do this process over and over for all your top-ranking search terms and I guarantee you that every blog post you write is super-niche and you will likely to show up before anyone else on Google.

In other words, “Write about what noone is writing about“.  It’s really simple as that.  But do keep in mind that the target search term would be something that would be searched a lot.  Don’t write about something that no one would search for, that’d be stupid.

#1 Reason Why You Should Concentrate on Quantity and Quality!

Here’s #1 reason why you should concentrate on quantity (number of blog posts) AND quality:

1) I have never had a reader leave a comment saying that they want less posts.

Too many posts, please post less!” - duh~

Plus, the more you write, the more visible you are, the more your blog posts get “pinged”, the more traffic you receive in the long run.

Quality is also important but quantity should be on your #1 list for making money with blogs.

Set a Goal

Whether you are writing 3 blog posts per day or 30 blog posts per day, you need to set a goal and try it out.

For example, take a 30-day challenge and do 20 blog posts per day non-stop.  After that, look at the results, I bet your web traffic increased a LOT.

If it has, donate me some money.  If it hasn’t, well you might have picked a highly competitive niche, try doing a 30-day test on another blog.

A lot of bloggers seem to stick with “one” blog.  That’s a no-no for most people as that’s like saying, “I live with the sword and I die by the sword”.

In the highly competitive blogging world, you need to keep innovating and finding goldmines in niche topics that not many people know about.

For example, I make a new blog almost every week.  Of course, only half of them actually are goldmines but I cannot tell if they are unless I make them first.

Well, that’s really all for today, my stomach is really sore and I am up and blogging and with too many ANDs…

“Optimize your ads”

To Make Money Online you need to be Passionate about Blogging!

As a blogger with 2 years of experience in many niche blog topics such as technology, home, and others, the one thing I can tell you is that you need to be passionate about blogging.

What is passion?

Well, when I get up in the morning, I can’t wait to do 50 blog posts on my various different blogs. There’s so much information and I want to tell the world about that through my blogs.

Do you have passion?

You need passion to make money blogging. If you don’t have it, it will show up on your writing and your readers will feel it too.

If you don’t have passion, the desire that blogging is one of the most fun things you can do to make money, you should go get a job and stop wasting time.

However, if you are passionate about making money, do 24+ blog posts per day. That IS a guaranteed stable way to build web traffic.

Go look at the top 100 blogs in the world, there’s not a single blog that does less than 24 blog posts per day. Some blogs even do like 30+!

I am sorry, but the truth and the secret is out there, you just need to blog, blog, blog, and blog about it.

If you are not willing or too lazy, forget blogging, you might as well work for some corporation who’s going to slave you away for rest of your life.

Yes, life is tough, blogging is tough. Stop wasting time, you should be able to write 2-3 blog posts in the time you’ve read this blog post.

Get serious now, take action, that’s all I can tell you.

Yahoo Publishers vs. Google Adsense - Test them noth and see How each Performs!

Well, I admit that I have been testing out Yahoo Publishers program in the last couple days.

Yahoo Publishers Program is basically Adsense from Yahoo.  It launches about a year and half ago and it’s been steadily growing in number of advertisers and publishers.

Zack Johnson even made over $400K in just couple months.

But that’s not the point of this blog post.

The point is that I did a test with Zedomax.com and have found that:

1) Google Adsense provides better context-matched ads, meaning more people will click on your ads because they are more relevant.

2) Yahoo provides better payouts per click.  (This might vary but for tech, this proved to be true)

3) You need to try both and test out to see which program gives you a better payout at the end of the day.

In conclusion, I am making 2-3 times more money now with Yahoo Publisher Program for Zedomax.com.

Why?

Because certain niche topics get better payouts with the Yahoo Publisher Program.  For Zedomax.com, I actually get only 60-70% of clicks compared to Google Adsense, yet Cost-per-Click is about 3 times higher, so I end up making 2-3 times more money at the end of the day.

But I think this will only work if you are already getting a high number of clicks.  If you are getting less than 10 clicks per day, you might not see as a big differece.

If you do get more than 10 clicks per day, I highly suggest you try them out.

I haven’t tested all the blogs so I might start doing that one by one and see how well it does for my other blogs.

Remember not to put Google ads and Yahoo ads on the same page, that’s against the ToS.  However, you can put them in “different” pages and see how they perform.

AdSense HOWTO - How to position your Adsense ads for maximum revenue!

AdSense HOWTO - Where is Optimal Position of Your Adsense Ad?

(Comparison of Zedomax.com and Mattresszine.com, Click to enlarge)

In a recent network study I did with Adsense ads all my blogs over in Zedomax Network, I found out that the most optimal position for your AdSense ads are to the top and left. Now above is a Screenshot of Mattresszine.com overlapped on Zedomax.com.

Why do I show you this?

Because the Adsense ads on Zedomax.com used to be at the way bottom. I started slowly changing the theme and moving the ads towards the top and to the left.

After the change, I did increase my CTR and CPM by 2-3 fold. (I am even thinking about moving it further to the top and left)

Also of the two Adsense ads, the left one performs better by 2-3 fold, weird isn’t it? (I am planning to even test out putting the sidebar on the left and put the ads there…)

I used to put my Adsense ads on the bottom of the post and on the sidebar. Uh oh, that is the worst place to put it unless you are experiencing some high CTRs. You might as well not put adsense. You need to put the ads where people would normally be reading the content, otherwise people will simply ignore the ads and you will make zilch.

You need to also think about the general population, over 50% of people still user 1024×768 pixel monitors in the world. That means anything outside that will not get many impressions.

After optimizing Adsense ads, I went from making just enough money to pay for server fees to being able to make a living on the internet.

That slight change can be costly, especially if you don’t know about how much money it can make you. It did cost me last 6 months of “how much could I have made”.

Now, depending on your niche blog topic, the ad placement perfomance could differ, but do try my advice if you ain’t making it right now. I am sure it will help.
