Web Traffic Case Study - ProGolferDigest.com

Web Traffic Case Study - ProGolferDigest.com

Well, here’s a blog that I have been working on since couple months ago.  As you can see, ProGolferDigest.com has been around almost a year now and I was getting like good decent traffic of around 200-300 uniques per day.  The site went down for couple days due to my lazyness.

Since March, I have been doing about 1-3 posts per day, all targeted at my SEO target keywords but found that this golf is still one of the best kept hidden goldmines.

Basically, the traffic growth resulted all from Google search terms.  Hence, this type of blog is explosive for making money online as a large number of your readers are people searching on Google and other search engines.

I’ve also learned that when you write a post about current events such as the U.S. Open, you get a spike of search engine traffic due to the people who are searching for it.

With just couple Adsense, this blog is making almost couple clicks, which isn’t too bad.

I think with a larger traffic such as around 2000 pageviews per day, this type of blog can make about $50-100 per day due to the “niche” of the blog.  The golf blog world hasn’t even started, there’s not enough golf blogs yet…

By end of this year maybe that could happen if I keep blogging daily about golf…man I’d rather play golf.  (That’s why I end up going golfing because I write about it…works I guess…)

This is my mindset for Multiple Blogs

Grow multiple blogs  and start watching which one grows faster, and then concentrate on those fast blogs to expect some results.

The slower blogs can be slow so really adjust your focus on building the blogs that are “growing” faster.

I think you need to really have multiple blogs in order to be successful at making money blogs as you can’t rely on one subject.

Once you develop couple really interesting topics for you and your niche market, you simply grow it with all the other blogs but watching the results in-between.

Which ever blog is growing faster, meaning more “search engine” traffic increase over a period of time, you need to put all your bloggers and blog posts onto those blogs.

Eventually, every site you run will increase in reputation and rankings if any one site increases due to the “network” structure of multiple blogs.  The opposite can happen, but you can simply deplete that link if the worst comes to worst.

Well, that’s my theory anyways.

If you have a better one, please feel free to suggest and use the comments.

Become a Warrior to Make Money Blogging!

Okay, today’s post is about becoming like a warrior to make money online through blogging.

What do I exactly mean?

Well, if you have seen the movie 300, you will notice that there are only 300 warriors fighting off gazillions of Persian warriors, monsters, etc..etc...

Life and making money online is the same thing.

The more you write, the better you write, and if you can blog consistently everyday, you are bound to fight off all your enemies eventually and start making money.

What do you need to do?

Blog, blog, and blog it all like crazy every freakin’ day.  I don’t care if you write about technology, health, etc…, you need to blog all the time!

Picture this okay, you are a warrior and you have just been drop-shipped via a war helicopter to the 100,000 enemies.  In order for you to survive, you need to kill every 100,000 enemies one by one until they are all dead.  (Better yet, make some good allies and you can fight together!)

Well, don’t get me wrong, there are no enemies in the blogging world, it’s just you versus yourself.  But you need to understand that if you just started blogging, there are 100,000 other bloggers who are trying to do the same thing.  The only way you will come on top is by blogging better and faster than everyone else.

Hey, if you don’t believe me just take a look at 90% of the blogs out there today, it’s either bunch of garbage or the blog rarely gets updated.

You need to focus on quality and quantity.  Wake up fresh in the morning and write, write, write, and blog, blog, blog until your hands are bleeding.  Okay, that was just a metaphor but still, hard work pays off and you should only do it if it’s fun for you or worthwhile more than working in a cubicle.

Hey, I am no class A writer, but I know how to get the job done whether that’s pretty or ugly.

When it comes down to it, you need to blog.  A blog is simply a “live” stream of information that’s faster than any other media today.  The only way you will be able to gain lots of traction is through “live” streaming lots of new and great information than other similar blogs.

Well, now the secret is out, maybe I should shut this blog down soon.

Here’s a video of what blogging means to “serious” bloggers:

HOWTO Make Money Online like the Shoemaker

Okay… This is a story about a shoemaker who made most money in his town.

It’s not about making money online but at the same time, it is. So listen carefully…

Long time ago, before they had electricity in the Wild Wild West, there were cowboys and shoemakers. Cowboys killed bad guys and the Shoemakers made the best customized shoes in the whole Wild Wild West, which includes California, Nevada, Arizona, and couple other really dry states.

The cowboys only wanted shoes from this one shoemaker who practiced out of Dallas, Texas. He’s fame wasn’t grown by himself, it had been growing ever since his ancient relatives had immigrated to America from Amsterdam. He’s name was Jeremy, often dubbed as “the ShoeMaker”. They made these leather custom shoes with special iron inserts that’d protect you from anything, even bullets.

Here’s how he did it:

Every shoemaker in the country could make these customized bullt-proof shoe makes, but it was never any shoemakers’ speciality. Meaning, Jeremy the ShoeMaker was the best at the customized shoes, specially made for high pressure cowboy-style gun fights. He’s also the 3rd generation of previous Shoe making legends such as his Father, John ShoeMaker and his grandfather, Darren ShoeMaker. Soon, the general public caught on the the buzz of word-of-mouth marketing and started buying ShoeMaker’s shoes in a frenzy. Soon, the type of shoes became to be known as the “Shoemaker Shoes“. Although these shoes were copied and replicated by other shrewd shoemakers over and over, the legacy of the Shoemakers became known everywhere. The Shoemakers built a brand that could last 100 decades through word of mouth. Their sales? Incredibly explosive, exponential, equal to 9 figure numbers today.

The lesson in this story for our lifetime:

Jeremy ShoeMaker has dominated the market simply by having no competition. He sought out a blue ocean, not a bloody competitive red ocean where you are fightin’ for every dime. Once they had the market to monopolize, they used their specialty to promote themselves forever and ever.

HOWTO do it online:

Find a niche market no one is blogging, e-mailing, wiki-ing, facebooking, or myspacing about.

Make sure it’s something everyone else can copy but you will always be ahead.

Promote it with word-of-mouth like crazy.  Network crazy with your fellow bloggers and make new ideas into new monetizable websites.

P.S. None of the names actually were meant to be associated with any real bloggers like Jeremy Shoemaker, John Chow, and Darren Rowse.
We didn’t mean to that is…lol…
