Step-by-Step Money Making Guide - Part 1 - Kontera Review

Since I make enough money online to keep all the websites going, that’s good but I haven’t really integrated all the money making ideas from greats like John Chow or even parodic John Cow. So I am going to start a Step-by-Step Money Making Guide series in which I tell you if whatever idea worked or not.

So let me look through JohnChow’s site real quick….ah…here’s John Chow’s Online Recommended Money Makers:

Kontera ContentLink

Kontera ContentLink allows you to make money from advertising without giving up any current advertising spots. Their technology reads your post and turns certain words into an ad. The highlighted words are double underline and an ad pops up when you hover over it. Normally Kontera requires a site have a minimum 500,000 page views per month before being accepted into the program. However, I have a partnership with Kontera that will allow smaller blogs to use their ContentLink service.

Fill out the application and enter “John Chow Kontera partnership” into the Comments field. The application is sent to my personal account representative. He will approve you based on your blog content and not your traffic level. This is a great way to use a service that is normally only available to high traffic sites.

Actually, I have been using Kontera on our tech site, Zedomax.com.

Here’s the actual check I got from Kontera couple months ago:

kontera

Well, it seems like someone’s gonna try to get my address? Sorry, I already moved to a new place…

Anyways, my payout would be: (Compare that to John Chow’s August 2007 Income for Kontera = $1000!)

May 2007 - $72.14

June 2007 - $84.69

That’s for a traffic of 5,000 x 30 = 150,000 impressions or 100,000 unique visitors per month. Not too shabby. I think I was doing about the same with Google AdSense.

In my opinion, Kontera is great if you have a techy site. Since they do gobble up a lot of words like, “network”, “microsoft”, “tech”, and other geek word among others.

You can sign up for Kontera using John Chow’s special admissions program even if your website does not get much traffic. Just remember to “Fill out the application and enter “John Chow Kontera partnership” into the Comments field.” , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I have tried this one - very low convert ratio. PPC clicks do the best
