How to Drive More Traffic by Doing Even More Less!

A lot of bloggers confuse themselves with many how-to guides out there on the internet such as “social networking”, “content is king”, and etc…etc…

What I am about to tell you will blow you away as most of my web traffic is built NOT built on social networks, content, and etc…etc…

Why?

Well, social networks are great but they will never give you the long-term “search” traffic you need.  (They usually bring “readers”, which are the worst as they are not “searchers”.)

For example, you can use social networks like MyBlogLog or BlogCatalog, which can be helpful of course, but you shouldn’t spend more than 5 minutes per day on it. (These are really good for networking with other bloggers but it’s not really for source of web traffic)

And then, there’s a bunch of guys on the internet saying that “content” is king.  No, content isn’t king.

No matter how well you write, if people can’t find it through Google search, your content is basically good as none.

How do I drive More Traffic by Doing Less?

The answer is simple.  The #1 way to drive more traffic legally is to title your blog post as if someone will “search” for it.

For example, let’s say you wrote a blog post about how to cure sleep disorder but you titled it “Sleep Disorder Cures”.

Now, I can tell you right off the bat, you will get 10 times more traffic if you titled it, “How to Cure Sleep Disorder” because most people will type that not just “Sleep Disorder Cures”.  Plus, you will also get traffic for “How to Sleep”, “How to Cures”, etc…etc… as a bonus.

This is simple but #1 mistake among bloggers.  They don’t get the traffic they deserve because the title isn’t what people are searching for.

This is a great way to drive more traffic without having all the greatest content in the world.  Of course, great content does get awarded at times if people link to you but I am just saying in general, blog post title is probably one single factor that determines whether you get 1000 visitors versus 1 or 2.

Even this blog post, I could have titled it, “Do Less, drive more traffic to your blog”, and that’s not as efficient.

If you follow my tips, I am sure you will write less content while providing a better, efficient titles so you get more visitors.

This is common sense if you think about it, just think in the shoes of the “searcher” the next time you title your blog post.

Remember, all this has completely related with how much more “searchers” you can bring to your blog/website and make more money in the long-run, you can read my post on “readers” and “searchers” if you haven’t yet. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Very useful tip. Thanks. Most people abbreviate their titles to look better on the page but you are completely right searchers type the whole phrase most of the time. Off to change some titles now.
