Blog is an Organic Thingee

A blog is an organic thingee.

What does that mean?

Well, a blog is not a static “website”.

You don’t set up a blog and call it quits.  A blog is a continuous stream of information.

A real blog is backed up by a blogging software that has been designed for the blogger to write a new blog post daily, hourly, or even every minute.

Why is this good?

Blogs are called “Web 2.0″ because of their organic nature.  Since blogs are constantly updated, it forces search engines to “crawl” the site, thus giving the blog a stable increase in web traffic.

Let’s say you stop blogging for 3 months due to personal emergencies or vacations.  The blog still maintains the average web traffic you have been receiving and simply won’t grow until you get back to write more.  Of course, you web traffic could decrease a little but because of the “organic” nature, a blog will maintain its search term traffic even if you stop blogging.

A blog is organic because it keeps growing no matter what you do, unless you make the search engine gods mad.

Of course, there are other software that is similar to blogging that you could call organic but no other type of writing platform software gives you all a blog has to offer including blog search engines, pinging, trackbacks, etc…etc…

Blogs will take over the world of information eventually.  (if they haven’t already)

Go to the bookstore and open up “any” magazine and I bet you there’s at least 1 mention of a blog.

Watch MTV all day and there’s a mention of a blog.  (probably more)

Blogs are great business as they are not completely affected by the U.S. economy.  Your readers consist from international readers.

Why you should be blogging?

It’s been getting harder and harder to get a real job in the U.S.  Even when I graduated from college years ago, there were no jobs and there are no jobs now.

Of course, if you finish at top of your class, you would be guaranteed a job but what about the other 99% of college students?

That’s right, the real world is not fair.  No matter how good of grades you get, you are not guaranteed to even get a job in this real world.

So, what are you waiting for?  Go start a blog.  At least you have a backdoor out of the real world.

Start living it up in your home office, save time and carbon footprint by not having to commute 2 hours per day.

There are 18 year olds who are making more money than Stanford MBA graduates these days.  The possiblities are still endless on the internet.

Find a niche, blog, blog, blog, optimize ads, and work from home.

It’s the new world of media, unfiltered, and pure than TV, radio, newspaper, and any other traditional media. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
