How to Beat Blogger’s Writer’s Block!
You all know what a blogger’s writer’s block is right? That’s when you can’t find any good subjects to blog(write) about.
Well, I have given you some suggestions before but recently I’ve thought of even a better way to write more creatively and let your writing creativity loose from its dark chambers.
What I did is, recently, I wrote on the subject matter of Apple suing HTC. To me, this was a fairly big ordeal because I love open-source and what Google is doing while Apple has been doing a lot of things that piss off people like me.
Anyways, the point is that I got really passionate, so passionate, I got a 1200-word blog post out rather quickly.
But the best thing happened after. I got all these Apple fanboys and others commenting because I have fueled their intellect with words. Whether I am right or wrong isn’t the important thing here, it’s that I was able to make enough people mad to leave a comment.
Should you be making your readers mad?
Hell yes, you need to make great content that will really get your readers attention. If I look at all the blog posts I have wrote in the past, the ones that get most comments are the blog posts with controversial topics.
One time I did a post about circumcision and for like 3 months, I had the whole world of circumcision experts/pros leaving comments on my site.
In blogging, to generate some action, you don’t always have to write the facts but if you can write about something passionately, adding your opinions, and spark some intellectual discussions, that could result in more passionate creative writing.
After that blog post, I don’t know what happened to my writing but I just feel like writing even more. It’s exciting when you love to write and ideas seemed to just blast out of your brain.
Well, even this blog post is one of those blasts.
Try it, it might fix your writer’s block. Write a strong opinionated blog post about a trending topic and I bet you will get a crowd following.
